Your journey unfolds across four distinct destinations:
Lake Manyara National Park: A scenic start, exploring the lush groundwater forest and alkaline lake at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment. Famous for its tree-climbing lions, elephants, and flamingo flocks.
Serengeti National Park: The epicenter of the African safari. Spend two days traversing its endless plains in search of the Great Migration (season-dependent) and its renowned predators. Experience the raw, untamed wilderness that defines Africa.
Ngorongoro Crater: A game drive in the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Descend into this self-contained ecosystem for arguably the best wildlife viewing in Africa, with a high chance of spotting the Big Five, including the endangered black rhino.
Lake Eyasi (The Unique Addition): This seasonal Salt Lake is home to the Hadzabe Bushmen and Datoga tribes. A visit here is a journey back in time, offering a chance to witness the millennia-old hunter-gatherer lifestyle of the Hadzabe and the traditional blacksmith skills of the Datoga. This cultural immersion provides a stunning contrast and a deeper, more meaningful conclusion to your safari.
After breakfast we pick you up and take you on a drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game drives of this very diverse park. If you are lucky, you may see the famous tree climbing lions. We enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush followed by game drives until mid-afternoon. When ready in the park, we slowly make our way out of the park and continue to our overnight accommodation.
Morning wake-up call with bird chorus. After breakfast we head via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the endless plains of Serengeti. Game drive to central Serengeti. Here we explore the many different areas of the park, and your driver guide will advise on the best places to visit. Overnight at Serengeti
A full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park Head over to the Rock Kopjes where you have good chances of seeing some of the cat families. Cheetah and lion use this giant rock out crops as observation posts.
After breakfast game drive starts out of the Serengeti, heading back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Continue to the crater rim and onto the NCAA HQ where you collect a ranger who will accompany you on a nature walk of the crater rim. Late afternoon. Overnight in the park
Early morning, we descend into the crater for game drives. There are 25,000 large mammals residing in the park. In the crater there are a big population of elephant bulls, while the females stay outside of the park. Black Rhino also makes their home on the grassy plains, their numbers make up for almost half of what can still be found in East Africa. Early/Midafternoon depart from the crater and start the drive back to Karatu, where we will spend the night.
The Hadzabe or Wadzabe tribe still maintain their traditional hunter-gatherer way of life. They are the last people in Africa to do so and small groups of Hadzabe bushmen still live around Lake Eyasi. Their language resembles the click languages of other bushmen further south in the Kalahari and may have been used for 10,000 years. A visit to the group will be arranged and led by a local guide who will describe their lifestyle. The Bushman will make fire from sticks and will show you their very few belongings. You can go on a simulated hunt in the area with their bows and arrows, and visitors can try a little target practice. The visit may conclude with a traditional singing and dancing.

For safaris, we recommend packing lightweight, neutral-colored clothing, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, binoculars, and a camera. For trekking, you’ll need hiking boots, warm layers, waterproof gear, and other essentials. We will provide a detailed packing list for specific tours upon booking.
